An exciting opportunity has arisen at one of Europe's leading theological
institutions. Wales Evangelical School of Theology (WEST) is looking to recruit
an Academic Registrar on a permanent contract to provide their expertise on academic
standards and administrative processes, and to oversee quality assurance, the
University Collaborative Partnership and student record systems. The successful
candidate must be willing to embrace an adaptive and vigorous approach to
developing and enhancing these aspects of the organisation.
As a senior member of staff, this varied role will require the successful
candidate to:

advise the Executive Management on matters relating to academic strategy
and administration across the School
·
work in close partnership with the Academic Dean and the Directors of
Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research programmes
·
help the school achieve its strategic objectives
·
ensure effective delivery of a comprehensive student administrative
service founded on the provision of accurate and timely student data
·
oversee the Programmes Administrator in their role of providing support
to all validated programmes
·
present the ethos, vision, mission, and values to prospective students,
churches, supporters and enquirers
·
represent WEST externally as required
In order to be considered for this post you will probably have had
previous experience of working in Higher Education in a similar capacity. With
excellent organisational and communication skills you will have the ability to
manage a varied workload and deal confidently with people at all levels of
seniority.
WEST is an evangelical Christian theological college and therefore it is
a Genuine Occupational Requirement that the jobholder be a Christian who holds
to our Basis of Faith.
The Academic Registrar will be expected to contribute to the spiritual
life of WEST through attendance and participation in congregational worship and
to offer pastoral support where necessary during the course of interaction with
students.
