DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS AND ENGAGEMENT

Reports to: The Principal

Job Summary:

London School of Theology is a world class institution which exists to serve the world wide church by educating individuals, equipping local churches and engaging in leading research. Over the last 12 months the School, under the leadership of its Principal and Executive Team, has developed a new strategic vision for 2019–2025.

This is a strategy for growth, consolidating LST’s position as the largest evangelical interdenominational theological college in Europe.

The Director of Communications and Engagement is a new role which will be key to the delivery of our ambitions for institutional growth. Key performance indicators include sustaining our growth in student numbers and improving our performance in fundraising from individual giving, charitable trusts and legacies.

We are seeking a creative individual who has experience of leading a team who will flourish whilst holding responsibility for developing new strategies for institutional growth. This new post carries overall responsibility for the two keys areas of Marketing, PR & Communications, and Engagement.

It is essential that the post holder leads and enables the two areas to work synergistically and that the Executive Team is kept fully appraised on all aspects of the areas of responsibility.
