Principal of Irish Bible Institute Vacancy
Position Summary
IBI is seeking to appoint a full-time Principal who will lead IBI into the next stage of its development. The person appointed will be responsible for the overall running of IBI. The main areas of responsibility will be in the following areas:
- Promotion & Fundraising.
- Strategic Development.
- Management & Administration.
- Teaching
It is essential that the successful candidate whole-heartedly embraces the mission, vision and values of IBI. This will mean, among other things, that they will have knowledge of the realities of ministry within the contemporary Irish context and will welcome and encourage the theological breadth and diversity that is part of IBI’s evangelical ethos. The successful candidate will build effective working relationships with staff, students and supporters as well as with church leaders, missions and Christian organisations with whom IBI partners.
The Principal will be committed to the strategic growth of IBI, and must have proven ability to envision and execute change as part of a team. They will also lead the promotion of IBI courses to prospective students and have the passion and drive to consolidate and grow funding streams.
The ideal candidate will be appropriately skilled in administration, with the ability to prepare written materials for the Board and IBI supporters, and oversee all matters relating to staff, building and finances.
Effective teaching and learning is a core value of IBI, and the Principal will be committed to IBI’s approach to theological education which engages head, heart and hands, combining academic rigour and applied learning.
The successful candidate will be required to confirm that they fully support IBI’s Doctrinal Statement and the aims and ethos of IBI and are committed to living in a manner consistent with these.
